1. You will need a tall stool so your not leaning down and a small table handy for all your bits and pieces.
2. Get the right kind of paints. (Not some left over in the garage from decorating the living room :-) Take a look here for on Ebay
3. Use a sponge rather than a brush for larger areas an brushes for the detail work. Take a look for some here on ebay, and here for
4. Apply thin coats of paint and allow a little time to dry before you use more. This is to avoid smudging one layer of paint with another and having to start from scratch.

6. Have a big tub of wet wipes close by, you will need lots.
7. A good size mirror for the toddlers to look at your handy work.
